Edward died after an accident at sea on the 18th December 1900, Ellen remarried and became Ellen Bell.

I would like to hear from anyone that has any family information or family trees you can email me by clicking here, the info is for my own use but I will be happy to share information with family members.

The Wasling Family.

The Wasling family name has appeared in many guises over the past 900 years or so.  Predominantly a Yorkshire based family but as time has passed a few have filtered to other parts of the UK and indeed some as far away as America and Australia.

The purpose of this website is to try and gain knowledge about how my ancestors lived and worked, and to share this knowledge with other family members.

I have found references in the local library to Wascelin/Wacelin and think perhaps that this may well be the 12/13th century variation of the spelling.  These records are mainly written in Latin, so deciphering them is not an easy task.

To date I have collected much information, the earliest proven records I have are from the mid 1500's when Robert Wasling (or Robertus Waslynge in his latin form) settled in Settrington, this data is taken from Parish Records which where started in 1537.  Information prior to this date isn't readily available.

If you have any information e.g. family trees, family stories, I would love to hear from you, you can email me by clicking here.  Any information I receive will be for my own use and I will be happy to share information with other family members.

The Prouse Family.

The Prouse family pages are still under construction.

My Gt-Gt-Grandfather was Samuel Prouse (b: about 1850 in Ashbury, Devon) he married Mary Ann Carker (b: about 1857, Liskard, Cornwall) on 5th February, 1873 in Brotton, North Yorkshire.

Although my branch of this family stayed in the Yorkshire area, there are many references to Devon & Cornwall.

If you have any information e.g. family trees, family stories, I would love to hear from you, you can email me by clicking here.  Any information I receive will be for my own use and I will be happy to share information with other family members
