My Gt-Gt-Grandfather was Samuel Prouse (b: 1850 Ashbury, Devon), he was an Ironstone minor and he married Mary Ann Carker (b: 1857 Liskard, Cornwall) on 5th February, 1873 in Brotton, North Yorkshire.
One of their children, Edmund Prouse (b: 1885 New Marske), my Gt-Grandfather, who at the time of the 1901 census, when he was just 16, was a horse driver in the mines, he lived in Dunsdale, North Yorshire, where he married Hannah and they had 5 children, one of which was my Grandmother Ida Prouse (1910-1963), she married Robert Wasling (1902-1952) on 15th March, 1930 at Guisborough Registry Office.
